BEC No-Show and Late Cancellation Policies:
A recent Forbes study found that no-shows cost the U.S. healthcare system more than $150 billion a year and can cost individual doctors an average of $200 per unused time slot. No-shows can also impact patients' health by interrupting continuity of care which means that patients are not being seen on a consistent basis and therefore chronic conditions and medications are not being monitored regularly.
At Broadway Eye Center, we strive to provide the highest quality of care. If you are needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact our office as soon as possible to ensure patients who may be waiting for an appointment are able to be scheduled.
Beginning December 20, 2022, these No-Show and Late Cancellation Policies will be implemented:
1. Missing your appointment (No Show) without notifying our office at least 24 hours in advance deprives other patients from receiving needed optometric eye care in a timely fashion.
2. A No Show will result in a $30 fee being charged and will be collected before future services are provided.
3. This No Show fee will not be billed to or paid by any insurance.
4. Late Cancellations (less than 24 hour notice) may result in a $30 fee, but will be evaluated on a case by case basis considering the reasons for the late cancellation.
